PHOTOGRAPHIC ART PRINTS
SYDNEY PHOTOART AUSTRALIA

I have been a professional photographer in the Sydney graphic
arts scene since 1979. After my education in Germany 40 years
ago, I spent two years in Amsterdam, Holland, and much of the
time in the Rijksmuseum, studying the paintings of Dutch and Flemish
masters. It is there I got the inspiration for my style of photography
- light is used to maximum effect, composition is all-importan and
attention to detail reigns. With the arrival of digital photography
and Photoshop, I was given the tools to finish my pictures
to my liking and thus fulfil my vision of evocative PHOTOART.

While there is a tradition with Australian photographers to 'go
outback' and shoot panoramic landscapes, I consider myself an
urban photographer - currently most pictures in PHOTOART are
from Sydney. I just roam the city, incessantly shooting with my
11 mp Canon camera. Then I manipulate the pictures on my
Apple Mac with Adobe PhotoShop. I have abandoned film in early
1998 and been solely a digital photographer ever since, both for
my personal PHOTOART work and professionally.

There are more than 2,000 pictures in the PICTURE CATALOGUE,
and some 500 of them in the ONLINE GALLERY. You may purchase
an A3 Numbered Edition print, where the editions are open.
Then there is my Limited Edition range of Lacquered Custom
Framed A2 pictures (editions limited to 25 pictures). Please go
to PHOTOART PRODUCTS for details of the full range.

I am also available for commercial work, please contact me with
your requirements. To get an idea of how I work and of my charges,

And I am a pacifist - download A Pacifist Manifesto.
